Transitioned to the PolicyOne team at One Inc, as a Software Engineer I, working on the policy management
application behemoth. Legacy API, modern API, monorepo frontend in Angular v20 and backend in .NET 9.
And really, really smart guys. I learned business quick on my old team, but I've learned complex problems quick on my new team.
With such a multi-faceted product, I've gained so much valuable experience. From extending the legacy API to support a newer
functionality, to extending and bugfixing our internal component library for Angular. It's been incredibly challenging, but so, so
very rewarding.
A full-featured, esthetician platform. Beautiful, data-rich services cards, bookings, consent forms, about info,
full control with the included admin panels, this app has it all.
My obligatory AI project. An automated people matcher. Integrate your CRM and Automeet will give you the seating chart for your next event.
One Inc, RPA
Got hired at One Inc as an RPA Software Engineer Intern! I would later go on to get hired on permanently
as an RPA Software Engineer I at the end of my internship, after taking over responsibility for 1 of 2
major automation projects within my first month as an intern, and then the other project shortly after being hired on
permanently. I had an incredible boss who supported and challenged me to grow, learn how to work within a company
structure, and taught me a ton about what it meant to be a developer.
Passion Projects and Continuous Education
Since graduating, I have only been growing my skills. Working on freelance projects from Upwork, and
passion projects of my own to specialize and hone my skills. Check out my GitHub for some of my latest
creations!
Collaborated with the founder to develop a tailored website for an animal rescue and adoption
non-profit, aligning closely with organizational needs and goals and saving them $129 annually by
removing the need for a subscription model site from Looka. Utilized Next.js to build, and Netlify to
deploy at whiskersandwagsinc.org.
Graduate from CSULB with my Bachelor's in Computer Science
After 5 long years, including 2 years of weirdness and unfortunate circumstances, I graduated with a
Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science on August 11th, 2023.
My Senior Design Project, Runtime.live, developed with a Software Development team of 5. My group aimed
to bridge the gap between general-purpose notetaking apps and platform-specific watchlists with a
Watchlist keeping, sharing, and expanding, app called Runtime.live. We used React.js and Firebase to
develop a full-stack social media-type app surrounding movie bucket lists.
I had the absolute best professors. Neal helped me through a tutorial on React.js, which I would
eventually use to create my first website.
Accepted into California State University, Long Beach for Computer
Science
After years of "drudging" through high school, studying all these boring General Education
topics like English and Math, I had finally made it to college, where I would be studying Computer
Science for real!
First official CS class, Computer Science Principles
I had waited years for this. Finally being able to take official classes in Computer Science. I
couldn't wait. An introduction to Python, and very simple algorithms, were just what I was hoping
for.
Introduced to coding
New neighbor moved in next door, a Software Engineer for Microsoft. She showed me Visual Studio, and let
me borrow coding books. I truly fell in love with making Windows Forms Apps: dragging and dropping the
TextBoxes and Buttons, using conditionals to make little login windows...
